Hey teens! My name is Brian Hanifin, I am your teen coordinator. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

To give you some background about me. I was born and raised local from the City of Manassas, I graduated from Osbourn High School. I went on to wrestle at James Madison University where I got a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Sports and Recreational Management, and a minor in Business Management. After JMU, I went on to work for the ARC of Greater Prince William County working with special needs children and adults. From the ARC,  I decided to try teaching out and went back to my old High School Osbourn, where I taught special Education and coached wrestling. From teaching I went to work for the department of Social Services for Prince William county government. I always knew my passions were helping people and in recreation,  so I was fortunate enough to get offered a job working for the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Manassas Park.

I look forward to our new blog in which we can share information about programs and special events this year and how everyone can become involved. This blog gives you an opportunity to share your ideas, dreams, hobbies,  interests, concerns and questions. Your blog can be short with just a few words, or long with a few paragraphs. It’s time for people to hear your voice, so come join the Revolution and help shape the future at the Rec. I look forward to seeing your blogs posted.

See you around,

- Brian
